Part 1
There Once Was a girl who was a lot like you.
who had a dream like you.
But what about her was not like you was her dream.
It was unlike any other girls dreams,
while some girls dreams consisted of Finding a pink unicorn or becoming a
fashion or movie star,
Eleora dreamed of becoming a star in the sky.
Yes I know quite odd but still she had a dream and she was determined to make it come true, just like you.
The only Problem and Mountain in her way was the fact that she was the oldest of 4 kids. And her father had disappeared some years ago never to be seen again.
Her family was broke and had very little money. They lived in a land and world very far from yours Called Alden. Her mother needed her help to care for the kids badly . Unlike most girls her age instead of having fun having sleepovers and makeovers, 13 year old Eleora who lived in the middle of the woods not near any people except for the market which was a good 5 miles away In the little villige of Eden. Well Elorea spent her days slaving away caring for her siblings to help her mom. But nevertheless her mother tired easily and was well spent and weak. There was no time to take the Journey to the Tree of Knowledge and tell it her dream so it could make them come true. No alas there was not even enough time for friends Eleora's life seemed hopless and drained out. Even if she could become a star she would not for her family needed her. That night after making dinner, doing the dishes, doing her homeschool homework for there was no public school in her land. And telling to many bed time stories. Eleora sat outside the front kitchen step and looked at the stars and as she did all her worry seemed to go away the more she focused the more she felt peace fill her heart. Out of knowhere a calm still voice seemed to flow into her mind. "Come, Become one of us, there is no worry for us stars!" They seemed to light a pathway for her. She was so tempted she almost went but she shook her head mother needs me she thought and went back inside. One of her little sisters Alana Was there trembling.
"Eleora I'..m I'mm scared, I had a nightmure" She spoke into the silence.
"Come ana I'll tuck you in and scare and nightmare away" Eleora responded kindly her own heart felt weak and die ing she was so so tired.
Part 2
The next morning after taking care of her siblings, Feeding, Dressing and Caring for them, and finding things for them to do, Eleora Heard A cry from upstairs. She ran up the stairs in a heart beat she found her mother in her room on the ground.
Eleora called the doctor.
After the doctor came he had news that her mother must stay in bed for the next week so she can heal and relax.
He gave her some medcine and left with more money than Eleora and seen in her life. Which she had given him.
"Oh this will never do! how will we eat how can I care for my siblings with out moms help?!"
Elorea said to herself.
The voice again seemed to flow through Elorea
"Listen, dear, Listen If you follow our light this night all will be all
right.."
Elorea without a second thought Put Cassidy who was 11 in charge she told her just for the night but little did Elorea really know how long it would be till she would be back in her home. Cassidy said she would take care of their siblings but only if Elorea would take Polly the baby. Elorea hesitated but gave in in the end. With a satchel with a bite of food Polly's bottle and a sip of water and that night when the stars came out Elorea began her journey.
Elorea Walked on Into the night following the Stars light the guided her shining a path for her through forests across creeks through fields past small towns and so on.
And just before sunrise Elorea reached the tree of knowledge. The last time she had seen the tree had been many years ago when her father ran away or went missing as her mother put it. She had come with Cassidy then and they had also followed the stars light but alas the tree of knowledge would not tell them where there father was. Elorea believed he was dead but when she asked the tree it had turned back into a regular tree and they had headed back home.
But now just as she had those many years ago Elorea knocked on the tree Once, Twice, Three times.
And just as it had before the wind began to blow and it blew the tree of knowledge to life the leaves began to rustle and then a sort of face appeared near the trunk and the whole tree seemed to glow then suddley the tree changed color from brown and green to pure snow white. And when the wind settled the tree finally spoke:
"My dear Elorea much time has passed since we last spoke, Well what can I help you with this time?" It spoke in a warm pure way
"Tree of Knowledge, Please help Me and My family! We need your help!" Elorea pleaded
"My child there is but one way This may happen You must find all evil and capture it Then you must dispose of it for that is the only way your family will prosper and you will become a star in the sky" The tree answered
Elorea responded flabbergasted "How did you know I want to become a star?" While in her mind she repeated what the tree had said about the only way to help her family.
"My Dear I know more about you that you know about yourself, On this journey I hope you will find yourself. The stars will guide you to the palace of evil. Good luck my child ado!" And just like that the Tree returned to looking like an ordinary tree.
Elorea Continued her journey that night following the stars path into the dark and dreary forest Elorea walked through dark shadowy areas when suddenly out of the shadows appeared a dark figure
that disappeared as soon as it came. A bit later Elorea decided to stop and take a bite of bread and a sip of water as well as give Polly her bottle Polly was so tired and hungry. But as just as she finished her last bite of bread she looked next to her where Polly once was but now Polly had disappeared. Elorea Looked into the darkness something must have taken her since she could not walk.
Elorea Screamed into the darkness "Polly" "Polly" but alas Polly was gone, gone into the darkness.
Elorea dared not stray off the path but she looked on the ground again where Polly once sat and saw what she had not seen before a note. She hurriedly picked it up.
it read
"IF YOU SEEK TO FIND THE CHILD THEN LOOK NO FURTHER THAN QUEEN QUEN'S PALACE OF EVIL IF YOU WANT HER BACK DEAD FOR WE NEVER GIVE ALIVE BACK YOU MUST GIVE SOMETHING IN RETURN WE ACCEPT BLOOD, NIGHTMARES, DEAD BODIES, OR ANYTHING THAT IS EVIL. SINCERELY, SECOND IN COMMAND AJAX BLOODHEART
Elorea Dreaded that fact that Polly was at the Palace of evil, But alas at least she knew where to find her.
With a heart full of fear Elorea set out on her adventure to the Palace following the stars light.
Soon she reached a sign that read : PALACE OF EVIL it was written it blood Elorea guessed, But alas she could not see the Palace for a giant wall of thorns towered above her blocking all entry and view. Elorea plotted and wondered how she was ever going to get over it. She could not climb it or jump over it. Finally Elorea had an Idea she went into the woods again and searched the floor for long sticks, vines, and branches. Once she had found a large pile she used some vines to lash a couple of long sticks with some short ones to form a ladder together until soon she had what sort of resembled a ladder it was just the right height to reach the top of the wall Elorea began to climb it when suddenly it began to disappear before she was halfway up half of the ladder had disappeared. Elorea gasped and climbed faster when suddenly what was left of the ladder began to lean back and fall.
PART 2
With one Long jump Eleora was able pivit over the wall sort of like a seasaw and fall hard on the other side.
Two dark figures pounced on her grabbed her and dragged her into the castle of evil. Eleora did not remember this for she had been knocked out cold. When she finally opened her eyes her vision was blurry and as she beheld the scene in front of her her blood turned cold with fright. In front of her on of a throne of the darkest stone imaginable darker than pitch black it seemed sat seated a woman with ankle long dark black strait hair that looked as though it was a dark sky with no stars. The woman's lips where dark crimson and her face was so pale against the dark hair it appeared to be white.
The woman wore a plain crimson red dress and had a crown of thorns on her head.
and on her lamp sat baby Polly, her big balloon blue eyes and lemon gold curls seeming much brighter than they ever had before.
The woman's piercing black eyes eyed Elorea with it seemed only one intention to destroy.
"Now deary, I see you have come to look for you little sister, ah what a dear little nit she is! but I must say if I am to raise her as my own I'll have to do something about her eyes and hair. Now If you don't mind I'd like to know how you intend to rescue her, you don't look like much I must say! ha!"
The evil woman who by now Elorea realized was Queen Quen said in a horrible soft yet piercing tone.
"I don't really know...but I am!" Elorea replied bravely with a bit of calm anger but as she did she suddenly began to feel odd something within her was growing, little by little hair by hair she began to feel a sort of burning with in her soon it grew so large that Elorea her self began to glow and so did Polly in the queen quens lap. To queen quens absolute horror Baby Polly began to float upwards queen quen tried to grab her but as her figures touched Polly the where burned. she jupmed back in suprise Polly floated into Elorea's arms and then Elorea began to float and then the both grew brighter and brighter until suddenly poof they both disappeard.
Meanwhile In Queen Quen's Palace
"She is the prophesied one, we must destroy her before she finds out for herself who she is!" Queen Quen empathized by smashing a small table with her hand. "WE MUST!!!" "send guards legions of them spy's whatever it takes! Go now!"
Elorea Landed hard in the ground with Polly safely tucked in her arms, Elorea looked around it was the same place that Polly had first disappeared, She held Polly close As she got up and drew a deep breath in then out she was trying to take in what had just happened.
Elorea Did not know what to think of what had happened she had glowed and polly had too and polly had also floated. Did she have a magical power? if so what triggered it and why had she only heard of it now? But just then a rock whizzed past her then one knocked her down cold with Polly still in her arms.
Elorea Woke to the smell of chicken soup she turned around looking at her surroundings, She gasped as she saw A Ancient looking man cooking it and a young woman chopping what looked like spinach. Elorea Stood up when she realized she had laying on a small bed she took in her surroundings with surprise it seemed as though the little room was underground There was a small table with three chairs a old carpet layed on the ground of a dirt floor and a pot heating over a sort of stove or fire, "Excuse me, But where am I?" "Ah it looks as though our guest has woken" The old man studied "I apologize that I had to knock you out with a rock,eh what do they say? desperate times call for desperate measures?" he added
"You are In no dangerous place be comforted child for we are on your side." Said the young lady
"My side? Pardon me but what do you mean?"
"Let me explain child, you can call me Bernard" Said the ancient man "Sit" he said motioning for her to sit on a chair near him.
"There once was a Father and Mother who had a son who had the power to go through time which he did often He learned so many things about magic through his travels that he soon became a powerful good wizard He married a Common girl And they had several children together the eldest however was the only one who had a magical power, the rest all took after their mum, Her power was the power of light a critically rare dangerous power that held all other powers in it, that could if harnessed correctly could destroy evil. However if harnessed badly it would destroy ones soul and dim until all that was left was darkness. This had happened to the few other humans that had had the magical gift of light. Every light holder had a desire to become a star which until there mission was fished was not possible. And when The girls Wizard father found out she had it instead of teaching how to use it he put a spell on her so that she could never use it until she truly had to under a horrible situation where life and death where present, however once she used it once she could use it however she liked forever, Years after casting the spell on the girl The girls father traveled through time and never returned no one knows what happened to him, but many believe that he was captured by the greatest wizard of evil, He was captured in a land only the strongest wizards could travel to, The greatest evil wizard Azezel is not a man to meddled with for he holds the key and the box that evil came out of and only a Light holder can put Evil back in the cursed box, Well I happened to be a close friend of the girls father, Him and I took all the magical power away from Queen Quen but compared to Azezel Queen quen is a mere fly of a severvent. But my dear the girl in this story is you, you hold the gift of light, and you must put evil back in the box before evil puts good in it's place!"
Eleora Stunned by everything the man had said responded only with a nod and then "You mean my father is in the land where Azezel the most evil wizerd is of all time reins? he did not leave our family?"
"That is the rumor but no one knows for sure. Now Queen Quen has an huge army she has sent to these parts of the woods where underground the good wizards and witches live Me and My daughter Ave who is a ice master in magic are a Wizard and a Witch and My daughters son Jack is also a Wizerd he holds the gift of speed, We will help you all we can, but all in all its up to you Eleora to save this world before its to late." Bernard Responded
"I understand" Eleora said with a hint of confusion in her voice "If you don't mind me asking does your grandson Jack have a father or has he disappeared like mine?"
"I'm afraid he died from sickness, But He was just a common man" Bernard said sadly
"I have another question why did you not come to my house years ago after my father died and tell me I am magical?"
"Ah We could not! Azezel put a curse on us that whenever a light keeper is born we can not aid he or she to find his or her magic until she figures out she has magic herself. apparently you used you magic in a deadly situation?" Bernard answered and asked
"Yes Queen Quen had captured Polly and I well you get it"
"ah I see" Bernard responded nodding
" Well How do I start? How to I go to Azezel's land?" Eleora asked
"Whoa there Whoa, It won't be as easy as that lassy luckily my good friend knows an old good witch who could help you travel through time but she just recently turned quite evil she is under an evil spell so it will not be a breeze.
And before you try to go to his land you must be taught how to use and harness your magic so I myself being a potion master will teach you all I know about light along with a good friend of mine who knows the art of light well even though she is a Invisibility master herself Her names Rosemary. And Ave's son Jack knows a bit about light believe it or not where is the lad?" "Jack you rascal where are you?" Bernard called
"He probably is in the old attic if it could be called an attic spying through a crack on Queen Quens army"
Just Than a Boy about Cassidy's age showed up with a sour expression on his face.
"Jack, Meet Eleora, The Light Holder
"Ey" said the boy
"Well I was just about to tell Eleora about how magical powers work and why some people have some and others do not,"
"Eleora, In our world one out of every 100 Children are born with Magical powers also called oddities, There are many Oddities but the most common ones are, Wind, Fire, Ice, Speed, Potion, Water, and Earth Holders. Some rarer ones include Air, Animal power, Flight and Speach. And some of the rarest are
Time Travel, Transformation, Teleportation, and the rarest of all Oddities Is Light.
If used and harnessed properly these powers can be used for good, But unfortunately not all children born with bower grow up to be Good holders of oddities. Azezel Himself was born a Light Holder however when used badly A light holder can turn to a darkness holder.
People With Oddites Live across our land but here in the forest of Nevil just past the forest of evil is where many people with oddities live. The Children that are born with No magic are called Customary's they are normal Humans and Many Marry Humans with Oddites. There children are called Fifty's for they are Half Magic half Customary Thus they still have magic just not as strong like Jack boy Here" Bernard explained neatly
Jack scowled
"Now Jack would you like to tell Eleora a little bit about light magic?"
Jack's face did not look pleasant as he said "Sure Grandfather"
"Light Holders Have the power to cover the earth with light or darkness, I'm sure you will choose darkness just like the rest of light holder-..."
"Now, Jack that's no way to talk about Light Magic to Eleora! You know the prophesy as well as I do!"
Jack Scowled agian
"What Prophesy?" Eleora asked
"Well of course I have not told you yet! There was a prophesy in the beginning of time when this world was first made that even though there was evil this world a light holder would destroy it, the prophesy states, Many would come before her and fail, But One day A young girl will save Nebirunai our world and she would be a light holder"
Now if that does not sound like Eleora that My names not periwinkle!
"Grandad your name is not periwinkle" Jack said rolling his eyes
"Ah laddy but how do you know that?" Bernard or perwinkle said winking
Eleora laughed and then suddenly jumped up out of the chair "Polly Where is Polly!!" "Oh not again" Eleora had been so caught up in finding out she had magical powers that she had forgotten about Polly.
"Your wee sister is safe in Ave's bed don't you worry!" Said Bernard
"Could I see her?" Eleora asked just to be sure
" 'Course you can Jack will show you the way" Bernard responded
After seeing Polly safely tucked away snoozing in a large bed Eleora was able to take a deep breath in and relax her mind.
Jack Who by now most of you see was not being at all friendly to Eleora decided on a mean nasty trick to scare her.
He got a dummy foam sword he had made years ago cut it in half and when Eleora was not looking he very slowly and quietly as not to wake Polly taped one end to Polly's stomach and the other to her back so that it resembled being impaled.
"You think she is sleeping eh?" Jack asked mischievously "Yes I do" Eleora answered puzzled Turing around to look at a art piece on the wall it was of a girl with flowing long red hair and bright gray eyes she seemed to be flying in the sky but Eleora could not tell.
Meanwhile Jack pulled back the covers to reveal the fake impalement, Eleora gasped then with a closer looked saw it was a prank and scowled "What a awful joke! You you Why how could you?" Eleora said fuming
Jack just laughed annoyingly however he forgot to remove the foam sword from Polly as right then Bernard called for them, the both ran down the stairs.
After a good meal of chicken soup Ave went upstairs to give Polly milk from a bottle. She screamed from upstairs and Bernard, Eleora, and Jack all ran up the stairs.
As they reached the room Ave gave Jack a deathly look "You, You.. rascal! how could you! Poor Eleora did you do this to her after all she has been through!" She half spoke have screamed
Bernard put a hand on Jack and led him out of the room. Jack looked a but uneasy.
Eleora stayed with Ave and they both removed the foam sword from Polly.
Meanwhile downstairs Bernard Sternly spoke to Jack which he very rarely did as he was such a Jolly old man.
"Now Jack, I'm so disappointed in you! I know it has not been easy since your father died but lad that's not Eleora's fault her own dad is gone" He said
"Yeah But her dad's still alive" Jack mumbled back
"That's the rumor laddy but know one knows for sure, its worse to have someone you love missing than dead it just is" he said
"How come!" Jack asked gruffly
"Well for one thing you don't know if they are happy or sad, dead or alive, living terribly or good, you just don't know and it haunts you laddy it does" Bernard said
"And how do you know that?" Jack inquired rudely
"Boy, My own mother disappeared when I was just a lad 'round you age and to this day I never knew what happened to her, she was just gone and I did not know where she was. one day she was there one day she was not," Bernard responded sadley
"Oh" said Jack with a hint of regret in his voice
"Now I hope from now on you treat Eleora kindly and I also hope you teach her the art of Light Magic well as you know it better than I!" Bernard said
"I will grandfather I promise" Jack responded
And jack kept his promise.
The Next day Eleora explained her family situation to Jack and jack shook his head "That's awful!"
Later she told it to Ave and Bernard and they set to have the situation resolved. Ave had a good friend who could travel to Eleora's house to take care of her mother and siblings her name was Mrs. Davis she was a widower who had not magic power but husband had been a Air Holder. Eleora Thanked Ave a thousand times Ave would laugh and say "Don't thank me child! Thank Ruth!" Ruth was the Mrs. Davis real name. Ave took care of Polly.
PART 3
Jack Taught Eleora a bit about Light Magic But Once Eleora knew the basics Bernard explained to her about Oddity School.
"You See This will be Jack's first year at Karmer Oddity School and it will be yours too. All the children over the age of 10 attend Karmer Oddity school, It is where they learn to master there magic!"
Eleora did not smile the school sounded odd she had never been to a regular school before let alone a magic school.
"Do I have to go?" she asked Bernard
"Lass if you want to save the world and your father I'd recommend you go" He winked
And that was that was how Eleora found herself on the steps of a invisible building. Jack Told her it was huge but to Eleora not being able to see the steps beneath her feet was not pleasing. especially when you where 10 feet off the ground and below was a forest floor. She Was worried about her mom her sibling back at home and about Polly being all alone back at the den of a home. Well not all alone Ave and Bernard where there but did she trust them? She forced herself to say she did. The sound of a door opening woke her up to reality. "C-mon!" Jack walked/ran inside, While the outside of the building was completely invisible the inside was more than visible. Eleora stepped inside, The door behind her shut. She gasped there where over a hundred kids rushing and cluttering to there classrooms, But where was Jack? She could not spot him as she walked around a girl bumped into her "Watch where your going 2 eyes" She snapped as she walked away "Two eyes? What was that supposed to mean?" A short girl with rosy cheeks and messy Auburn hair walked up to Eleora "Hullo! I'm Lindsey, are you new here? I don't remember seeing you but then again there are over a hundred students here you did stand out though with your red sweater" Lindsey wore a drab gray uniform as did most of the kids except for Eleora she did not have a uniform. "Yeah I'm new here, a friend of mine was here i'm just trying to find him"
Lindsey smiled "Well its nice to meet you Eleora! Best of luck saving your dad!" She began to walk off but Eleora stopped her "Wait what how did you know that?"
Lindsey smiled again this time wider showing all her perfect white teeth "Why, My magic oddity is telepathy, It's pretty common nothing like being a light holder!"
"Whoa that's cool! But to be honest I'm not great at being a light holder at all! that why i'm here" Eleora responded
"Yeah I figured that, well what class will you be in?"
It was Eleora's turn to smile "I acutally don't know! I'm 13 if that helps.."
"Oh trust me it does not, Kramer is not like normal schools" "But you can follow me I'll bring you to My class and My Teacher Miss. Mildew can help you.
So Eleora followed Lindsey through jumble of kids through several corridors until they reached a small room, On the door in bold letters wrote:
MISS MILDEWS CLASS FOR INTERMEDIATE GROUPS A.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Eleora thought outloud
"A M C R H Q and W are the letters to groups of magical oddity's-" Before Lindsey could finish the door opened and a very tall very thin woman stood there she had dark hair that grew to her ankles and way to large for her face red glasses.
"Good Morning Miss M." Lindsey sung/said
"Good Morning Flower, Who is this girl you brought?" Miss Mildew seemed to inspect Eleora top to bottom she then smiled
"Ah! a Light Holder! It gives me the fairies! Now dear, This is not the class for you! This is just a Basic Telepathy Classroom Let me lead you to Mr. Roars Room."
Eleora Realized that Miss M. was also a Telepathist, she also realized that Mr Roar did not sound like a nice teacher.
But before she could say a thing Miss M. Grabbed her hand and half dragged her it seemed like forever and over 100 corridors to a much larger classroom With a fancier Door and Fancier Writing that said:
MR ROARS ClASS FOR ADVANCED GROUPS Q.
Uh oh that did not sound as inviting as the Miss M.s class. Miss M. Led her inside, The room was very neat but also very messy. How that possible? Eleora did not know it must have been magic. She scanned the room there where over 20 kids in the room but unlike Eleora expected they where not all the same age one boy looked no older than 4 and one girl looked as though she was over 17. Miss M. walked Eleora up to a tiny man not much taller than than the 4 year old boy he had a long beard and a bald head. He also had huge ears the size of a large pear. At first Eleora wanted to Laugh this was Mr Roar? He sure did not look scary! But then she changed her mind His face was stone cold his eyes where dark and his lips looked as if they had never moved upwards. "Good Morning, Fredrick I do hope you'll be kind to a newest student of yours her name is Eleora" Miss M. Addressed Mr Roar. It response the little man have yelled have roared "THANK YOU MELODY, TAKE A SEAT AURA!" wow for a little a man as him he could sure yell loud or roar.
And Just like that Eleora found her self sitting next to another girl who looked to be around her age, She had almost white blonde hair that reached her shoulders the girl also had a splash of freckles on her pale face. But the thing about her that was odd was her eyes One eyes was Hazel and the Other turquoise.
"Hi My names Elle, What's your name?" There girl asked quietly and politely.
"My Names Eleora, What your magical oddity?" Eleora responded a little bit louder than Elle
"Mine is Flight, I can fly How about you?" Elle asked
"wow that's cool! Mines Light magic" Eleora smiled back but this time she said it a little to loud
not just Elle had heard a few kids had heard and not surprisingly with his enormous ears MR Roar had heard.
"NO COMMUNICATING IN MY CLASS!" He Roared at Eleora "ONE ROARSIO!!!!!!" He added
while he roared he half flew off the ground.
"Uh sorry MR roar but um What is a Roarsio?"
"it's like one strike 4 strikes means you have to hang upside down for the rest of the day" Elle answered as if she knew all to well what it felt like
"NO COMMUNICATING!!" MR Roar Roared "2 ROARSIO'S!" he said again then went back to the front of the classroom and began to talk but no one was really listing to him a bunch of kids where staring at Eleora she squirmed, She heard whispers she caught some words "Light" and "Impossible"
But soon MR Roar caught there attention,
"WELCOME PUPILS SINCE THIS IS FOR MANY OF YOU, YOUR FIRST TIME AT THIS SCHOOL I WILL BEGIN BY EXPLAINING TO YOU THE BASICS OF KRAMERS ODDITY SCHOOL,
FIRSTLY THERE ARE 6 BASIC GROUPS THAT DEFINE YOUR CAPABLE ABILITY

GROUP THREE BASIC C.
GROUP FOUR INTERMEDIATE R.

GROUP SIX ADVANCED Q.
THIS CLASS FALLS INTO THE ADVANCED GROUP, NOW YOU MAY BE WONDERING WHAT THE LETTERS ARE WELL ITS MORE SIMPLE THAN YOU MIGHT THINK,
